Public Talk : Exploring the Radio Universe Thailand in the SKA Era under Quiet Skies
The Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) is going to become the largest telescope in the world operating in radio frequencies. However, the booming satellite industry in low-earth orbit is threatening SKAO and other mega astronomical facilities in the future. In this discussion we explore some of the ways in which astronomers are planning to collaborate with the industry to minimize the impact it has on astronomical observation.
By Prof. Philip Diamond, SKAO Director-General and Dr. Wiphu Rujopakarn, NARIT Director.
